- Prepare of Drumstick 2 big.
- You need 1/2 cup of fresh coconut.
- You need 3 tbsp of sesame seeds.
- You need 4 tbsp of rice.
- It's 3 of red chillies.
- You need of Jaggery (optional).
- It's to taste of salt.
- It's of oil for tampering.
- Prepare 2 tsp of spilt urad dal.
- It's 1 tsp of jeera.
- You need pinch of hing.
Drumstick With Coconut Gravy Curry instructions
- Soak rice for 1 hour. If you forget to soak rice instead we can use rice flour also..
- Clean and chop drumstick and keep aside..
- Boil the drumstick in sauce pan with sufficient water add salt to it..
- First grind sesame seeds,then add soaked rice and grind it.Then add fresh grated coconut and grind.Then add red chillies and make smooth paste.Add little water if required..
- Once the drumstick are cooked add jaggery and allow it to cook. Adding jaggery is optional.Some do not add, they like it as it is,some want to eat sweet curry..
- Then add the ground paste of coconut and sesame seeds and mix well.Allow it to cook for 5 mins and it thickens well..
- Heat oil in small pan,add urad dal,jeera and hing and one red chilli and fry little and add this to the gravy curry..
- Serve hot with plain rice and Sambhar..
